Thank you, Chris Rundle, for the fantastic review you included in your Western Morning News column. It is always nice to get good feedback but to get such a strong recommendation is a real treat.

Which is why I am making a rare recommendation here, having been invited to sample some of the range from Mere Fish Farm ( where trout are reared in water from Wiltshire chalk streams then subjected to the most careful smoking – either hot or cold.

The result, without a word of exaggeration, is the best smoked trout I have ever put on my plate and I can only commend those with a fondness for this particular delicacy to treat themselves to an online order then immediately set the table with knife, fork, lemon wedges, black pepper and maybe a pot of horseradish to await the courier’s arrival. They will not, I can assure them, be disappointed.
